They have probably realized that half the people they advertise to are fake accounts.
Does anyone know anyone who tweets? I know people who use all other forms of social media. No one in real life as EVER asked me for my Twitter account or shown me something from a non blue check on Twitter, or told me about something they tweeted. It is an advertising tool used by celebrities and other wanna be celebrities to make a statement then talk about that statement. It’s fake. No one uses Twitter, people talk about Twitter.
“Supplemental income exposure and support” is what I meant by “wanna be celebrities” I could have said “want to be successes”. it’s for promotion. It just doesn’t seem like it’s used by the number of people who talk about it. It’s it’s own thing. It’s unique. But it’s weird to be how it’s talked about by so many but used by so few.

I have family that uses it. One even has over a thousand followers.
Who knows how many of THEM are real, though.
Absolutely I know people, but they tend to be artists using it for supplemental income exposure, or people who are engaging in support.
I don't really see people using it for anywhere near the same reasons as other social media. But that's not necessarily a bad thing.
