So, this was interesting. I so wanted to jump in, but also just wanted to sit back and listen to what they said. I did the latter. An older couple talking. The woman spoke quietly. I don't know if that was her natural mode of speaking or perhaps she didn't want to be overheard. Anyway, she said something along the lines of 'so many sick people. So many mentally ill. Who is normal any more?'
The man, presumably her husband said something like, "Yeah, with all the mentally ill, the lgbtq types, the drug addicts (and so forth) the world might not even be worth living in pretty soon."
It really struck me. We talk about the nutsos here all the time, but it just hit me like a ton of bricks. There are SO many 'off' people. From those with TDS (for no apparent reason) to the liars and cheats in politics, to the men who think they're women, to the men who think having sex with other men is normal, to the nutbag teachers telling your kids to call them 'they/them' to the antifa types, and on and on and on. It does sometimes feel like the normal, mentally and emotionally healthy folks are dwindling.
To me, it will have to take a HUGE reveal by the WHs to snap people out of their mental fog and snap them back to reality. And it can't come soon enough.
I had to go out today to a big box store and it was a miserable experience. I'm starting to feel like an alien in this world. I wish we could go back to simpler times. Much simpler times, when society wasn't based on convenience, technology, and social image.
I certainly understand the feeling that the world isn't worth living in anymore.
I'm sorry, fren. Good thing we've got this place and each other, eh?
do you ever go out and run into an Instagrammer? Walking around flipping their hair and talking to their phone? Yuck!
Smile at a stranger-make eye contact and smile. That is all- it breaks down so many barriers- Especially when you can say, "don't mean to intrude, but you have the most beautiful smile I have seen in weeks, don't hide it!"
