That's awesome. And a good idea I think each group within the 'European' larger group should have their sub-group if they want it. It's important to identify with your group, even with the area or region(s) that your family came from. That's a good thing.
But right now Irish-Americans are lumped into the 'white' category aren't they - so if the category name was upgraded like I'm proposing it would be good for them too.
I had an interesting idea. There are a bunch of abandoned mining towns across Canada. Have them be settled by a different European Nation. So you can visit a small section of that Nation inside tour Nation. It's a sample of what they do best. A fun touristy interaction. The conditions might be they to hire locals but also allow their key people to work so you start to connect on the cultural level.
