What is this thread all about?
Just a place for general discussion. A place to unload whats on your mind and talk about anything - personal, health, help needed, achievements, daily highs and daily lows, theories, predictions and what have you.
Does not need to be Q related.
On several occasions Q reminded us to put on the armor of God. I just saw this posted a minute ago - it was written by a 17 yr old nonverbal autistic boy who is able to use a keyboard (with help) to communicate. I read the book his mother wrote about him a few years back. Extraordinary story called "Josiah's Fire". So here is Josiah on the subject of that armor:
Note from Josiah’s Mom: Josiah wanted to share this on his page with you. For context, he is referring to the Ephesians 6 Armor of God metaphor. What he learned from the sermon is that the “sword” Paul was referring to likely was a Roman SHORT sword or even a dagger for close combat, and the preacher said they would also use this type of weapon should arrows get past their shields (or if “your faith is low” per Paul’s metaphor) to extract arrows out of their body armor.
Josiah:
Stir it up, sisters and brothers! The Sword of the Spirit is turned into a dagger designed to also dig out arrows that have been sunk into your armor! Wielding the Sword of the Spirit is like using this Roman dagger to defend yourself against attacks in front of you and against arrows of words projected at you! Yesterday, driving with my mom and listening to a sermon, I feared by reasons of my differences and I started distant worrying. I was fearing and I was feeling that my future is to be wisely writing stories of God’s fidelity. So, drifting to reframe my struggles in physically writing often on the study I dearly do, strength drew a review of my armor! Yes, I realized I was still walking around with arrows sunk in my armor! Great, I sure do roar if I’m a porcupine, right? Take the Word of God out often and treat it as surgery on your own armor. How awesome is that?! It is so true! Tired of the darts that wisdom has alerted you to? Be assured, the sword is useful from the owner-side too! My strength is returning to retrain my differences tearfully to sharpen my direct freedom. Treat warriors as originals, so I designed ideas to identify my “special” sword as being swift in the spirit! This is the truth—rightly divided—soul and spirit! See, with warfare, I wrestle not against the stares that are shot my way, I wrestle with the strongman of the kind of stuff that tries to ruin my worth. Yes, I fight desperately with the differences I have that test my armor’s fit daily. Yet I release the strength of the arrows sticking me afresh simply by freeing them from my breastplate. Yesterday, I dreaded the distant arrows aimed at me—I saw them! Yesterday, I feared strength was going away from me. Test the spirit! We are still ordered by God to stand there and do and act in the ways, ways, ways of strengthened, freed, destined sword-wielders! ———————
