So a lot of people keep saying this. So I'll just reply here in a friendly manner and make it a response to all who say this. Many people are saying this. This is just my humble personal opinion.
If Trump comes back AFTER the midterms, he gets to finish his rightful term, AND run for 4 more years in 2024. Had Trump come back before the 2022 mid terms, by Amendment 22 of the US Constitution, he would only have been allowed to finish the current term, and by serving more than 2 years, would NOT be able to run for 4 more years in 2024.
This is a difference between Trump getting less than 2 years to be president again, and getting closer to 6 more years.
I think most would agree that 6 is better than 2 and it's what most people want.
At this point, we have Joe impersonating president for almost 2 years and our country is going to hell faster than I've ever seen before. Faster than I thought possible. Trump didn't concede and it hasn't stopped our country from going to hell.
There is no reason in the world Trump can't say, I am not conceding 2020. I have not conceded 2020. I will never concede 2020. BUT, I am running for president again in 2024.
If he did this before the midterms, and he was restored to president before the 2 year limit (which is actually in January 2023, 2 years after inauguration), he would not be constitutionally eligible to run for President in 2024.
By waiting for this important 2 year threshold, he can both dispute 2020 and also run for another term in 2024.
Stop talking about Trump 2024.

This is not a dichotomy.
