The line was 2 to 3 hours long all day. I stopped by to vote 4 times and each time the line was longer. Finally, I got in line a half hour before polls closed to ensure my spot and I held the damn line! Me and hundreds more.
The staffing was the same. The process was the same. Everything the same as past elections. Our precinct probably doubled the 2020 presidential election turnout and this was a mid term.
I feel strongly that remaining ballots are strong R. Some young guys next to me were talking Kyrie Irving standing up and staying strong. They seemed pretty based. Plenty of pickup trucks in the parking lot. Not a guarantee of R voters but a good sign in my opinion. Lots of MAGA blue collars.
Anyways, just wanted to post my election day update. Hope everyone had fun out there and enjoyed the Patriotism of voting!
Hubby and I went between 4-5pm this evening, and no line, which surprised us both, usually it's around the building and across the property of the church. Think a lot of folks went early this morning & lunch times. Even though there were no lines, people were still filling the tables to vote. Everything just moved well I guess.
Oh and when I was checking in with my ID & signed to vote, the nice fellow gave me a little slip of paper with the number on it, to take to another table to get my ballot. Guess what the number was on my little slip??
#17 😊
And both the guy who gave me the slip & the guy who gave me my ballot, both looked at me, smiled and said #17, lol.
Wow, that's awesome! Lucky 17.
I thought it was pretty cool :)
