He's done scripted things in Florida to get the attention of conservatives. Anyone not really paying attention thinks he's amazing. They don't even consider how he is able to be so conservative in Florida. He's a plant. Also, if the Democrats actually wanted to try to win Florida, they wouldn't have run Charlie Crist. Florida was a giveaway, just to get DeSantis more popularity. The never Trumper movement did not die. It just went underground until it could create an alternative to Trump. It HAD to be a new guy. It had to be someone that could really convince conservatives he was the real deal. Someone who could be the governor of a big state, while talking tough and putting the media in its place. They wanted an imitation Trump they could push on the public as a new and improved model. DeSantis is a Trojan Horse.
