Read and relate to the Q post referencing how Lincoln saved the republic.
Lincoln claimed broad emergency powers that he argued the Constitution had vested in the executive branch. Although he asserted powers as commander in chief that presidents had not before used, he did not create his war power out of whole cloth. Lincoln found the power he needed to deal with the rebellion in the commander-in-chief clause of the Constitution, in the clause of Section II requiring him to “take care that the laws be faithfully executed,” and in his presidential oath “to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the U.S.”
Based on these powers, he called out the militia, authorized increases in the size of the regular army and navy, expended funds for military purchases, deployed military forces, blockaded Southern ports, suspended the writ of habeas corpus in certain areas, authorized arbitrary arrests, and empanelled military tribunals to try civilians in occupied or contested areas. Later he authorized conscription and issued the Emancipation Proclamation. Lincoln justified these steps as necessary to save the Union and preserve the Constitution.
PEADS are essentially the most classified shit there is. The only people with access would be a handful of hand picked military commanders that would be in charge of executing them. Just like Q said. 10 people know the plan, 7 in the military.
This is the plan. It’s PEADS. And their fear of it is what makes it so obvious. Why else would they try over and over and over to access or limit them? This dovetails well with the photo of Kash Patel in the military office polo shirt. The same office that would be involved in
PEADS.
Stop dooming. Listen to Trump, he is very happy. Listen to Q. Our votes mattered. We don’t see the big picture yet. We know the military had cyber security teams deployed, and that’s just the unclassified shit they told us. I’m sure there was far more than the National Guard cyber units poking around.
The enemy is scared of PEADS. If they were in full control, they wouldn’t be.
It’s already been established the President has unlimited power to save the republic. So when someone tells you, “they can’t do that”, that’s false. We already had tribunals and mass arrests in the US. No reason it won’t happen again.
The plan is in our faces. Lincoln already did it once. Now it happens again. The only question is the timing.
That's why the Democrats pushed Lost Cause propaganda that's unfortunately been implanted in the minds of generations of well meaning southern and states rights conservatives, who've been duped into believing the "Lincoln was a tyrant" bullshit. It conflated the mostly correct "expansive federal government is bad" truism with the false characterization of the Rebellion of 1860 as being the "war of northern aggression", of poor states tyranized by the big bad federal government, headed by Lincoln, thus rendring Lincoln evil incarnate. Have to give the Left some credit really, considering their rebellion was crushed and yet they won the historical propaganda war, at least for the first 100 years. But over the past 100 years, real historians have been successfully deprogramming the lost and retaking the high ground in the educational battlefield.
1860 was an illegal, immoral insurrection and rebellion, spurred on by foreign and special interests with the goals of destroying this country. Lincoln stopped them. And they murdered him for it.
2020 was an illegal, immoral insurrection and rebellion, spurred on by foreign and special interests with the goals of destroying this country. But this time Trump didn't really try to stop them... at least that is how things on the face, appeared... we hope that's because behind the scenes, this was all a sting operation. But here we remain, still waiting.
And thus, until DJT PROVES what we hope to be true, is true, I cannot equate him to Lincoln. Produce the goods, and I'll be the first to help pay for the Trump Memorial. But until then... we wait.
I don’t want to hijack this thread because I do agree that the PEADs are scaring the crap out of the Left. However, I would have to disagree with you about Lincoln. While I don’t agree with the “Lost Cause” idea, I would definitely say that Lincoln was indeed a tyrant of the worst kind and I can’t not jump in when people try to prop up that SOB.
The South separated from the Union mostly for financial reasons. The US’s two main profitable exports were tobacco and cotton & they were produced primarily in the South. Lincoln placed disastrously unfair tariffs on the South & spent most of the money on Northern cities, Northern railroads, Northern interests, etc. Hardly any of that money was spent on the South. While I am not defending slavery, it was worldwide &, compared to other regions, we were not in the big leagues in the amount of slaves held. Also, the North greatly profited over these export tariffs. Lincoln’s Emancipation only freed slaves in Southern territories and only signed it because the war was going bad for him. Slavery would have eventually ended on its own anyways. We have found over time it is cheaper to pay people in scrip or minimum wages than to house, feed, clothe, and medically care for workers.
Do a quick web search for racist Lincoln quotes and many people will find that he definitely believed in separation between whites and blacks because he was a vile racist. They leave that out of the school history books for sure. Many abolitionists of the time felt the same way. Free the slaves but also, Go live somewhere else.”
He jailed judges and the journalists who opposed him. While I agree that we have plenty of corrupt judges and mass media today that should be locked up, his actions are not dissimilar to the way we are treated on social media. What if he was locking up good journalists (like the guys on our side) and decent judges who were ruling fairly on matters that he did not agree with?
I could argue that history is taught by the victors & brother, we have all been fed a lie. Our $5.00 for a gallon of gas and can’t afford enough groceries is exactly the equivalent of what the South was going through back then. Taxing the crap out of us and spending the money on their own interests. One could say that Lincoln was the 1st President owned by Corporate interests and the rest is history. Sorry bro, I’m on team Josey Wales.
Lincoln was indeed a tyrant of the worst kind and I can’t not jump in when people try to prop up that SOB.
Lying is bad.
The South separated from the Union mostly for financial reasons
Fireeaters stated quite clearly the underlying reason why they rebelled: the Republican threat to restrain and eliminate slavery.
The US’s two main profitable exports were tobacco and cotton & they were produced primarily in the South
Produced... by... slaves...
Lincoln placed disastrously unfair tariffs on the South & spent most of the money on Northern cities, Northern railroads, Northern interests, etc.
My dude, 7 states were already in open rebellion before Lincoln was even inaugurated. He did no such thing.
Also, the North greatly profited over these export tariffs
Perhaps slavers should have bought and sold American?
While I am not defending slavery, it was worldwide &, compared to other regions, we were not in the big leagues in the amount of slaves held
Says he won't defend slavery, then proceeds to defend slavery. You have a truly dizzying intellect.
Lincoln’s Emancipation only freed slaves in Southern territories and only signed it because the war was going bad for him.
Wrong. Freed slaves where rebellion existed, which happened to be most of the southern states. He warned them and gave plenty of time to stop their rebellion. They ignored the warning. So Lincoln used his constitutional war power to take what they deemed their property.
Slavery would have eventually ended on its own anyways
Seriously, lay off the drugs. The platform of the Democract Party was quite literally advocating for not merely the maintenance of slavery, but the expansion of it westward and southward. Fireeaters wanted to annex Cuba for it! Slavery was incrwasing at exponential rates from 1840-1860. Some in VA and NC attempted to pass gradual emancipation laws, and yet the Democrats ensured they didn't get passed. If it wasn't for the open violent rebellion and firing on Ft. Sumter, it was more likely that VA, AR and NC wouldn't join the rebellion. The fireeaters knew this, hence crossing the Rubicon and forcing those slave states to pick a side.
We have found over time it is cheaper to pay people in scrip or minimum wages than to house, feed, clothe, and medically care for workers.
So much for your claim of not defending slavery.
Do a quick web search for racist Lincoln quotes and many people will find that he definitely believed in separation between whites and blacks because he was a vile racist.
Do a quick web search for anti-slavery Lincoln quotes, and you'll find exponentially more proving quite clearly that he found the practice abhorrent and a national sin, that it must be prevented from tainting the territories, and eventually be abolished where it already existed, albeit legally by constitutional amendment. Vile racist? Because he was concerned that other racist whites would never accept living with freed, legally equal blacks? That's called being realistic, not racist.
He jailed judges and the journalists who opposed him.
He jailed traitors who were guilty of aiding and abetting insurrection and rebellion.
What if he was locking up good journalists (like the guys on our side) and decent judges who were ruling fairly on matters that he did not agree with?
Name one case where Lincoln himself wrongly ordered the arrest of an innocent man.
I could argue that history is taught by the victors & brother, we have all been fed a lie
Ironically, for the first 50 years after the Rebellion, the vast majority of historical accounts were written by Lost Cause apologists. Sorry you still believe their lies.
Our $5.00 for a gallon of gas and can’t afford enough groceries is exactly the equivalent of what the South was going through back then. Taxing the crap out of us and spending the money on their own interests.
You just conflated and equated temporary abuses and government overreach, with actual perpetual, race based chattel slavery. So much for not defending slavery...
Sorry bro, I’m on team Josey Wales.
No need to apologize for ironically proving my statement about duped, gaslight, brainwashed rednecks buying into Lost Cause propaganda. It's ok. Another 50 years, and this nonsense will be relegated to the dustbins of history where it belongs. Laugh while you can monkey boy.
