If it is true that the military will step in, then I bet it was their plan all along...and the timing depended on many factors:

1. Public support...reaching the precipice and waking up to reduce risk of civil war.
2. Allowing the collapse of the corrupt systems and agencies, like the education, financial, and medical systems, border policy, fbi, cia, etc while Biden was in charge, not while republicans are in charge. These systems need to be reorganized, but the process is painful.
3. Reducing the threat to the public first, by cleaning out and collapsing underground tunnels, dismantling criminal networks, indicting many, and who knows what else?
