There was a paper on the Johns Hopkins Hospital website explaining that the CDC was moving deaths from the flu column to the virus column. They were also moving deaths from other columns as well. It was a well-written, well-researched paper. Johns Hopkins took it down for a while, but put it back up with a disclaimer that they believe it's wrong.
