I hate to break it to you but they are just going to steal it because there are no consequences. They don't need to care about balant theft when no one is going to stop them.

This FTX business looks like it has some potential to do some big damage. Additionally because democrats were the recipient, and actively engaging in money laundering (hopefully more than FTX will be revealed) could potentially call elections into question.
