Is this why they're still careful to at least attempt a reasonable result? If 150% of the country voted, would people finally 'get it' and do something? Would they dare go over 100% total vote by such a large margin country-wide when they've demonstrated their desire for believability where possible?

I'm aware, which is why I specified "country-wide". Much easier for normies to just shrug off a few districts that went over 100% as "inconsequential" and ignore the problem.
