No. It really isn't. I can't imagine where you even got that idea. That's like calling Texas or Florida blue.

That really depends on how one wishes to define the colors "blue" and "red." Arizona being McCain stained "red," is at best "pinkish," or "purple." Some people can think of purple as red, but it's just as fair to call it blue too.
