A simple prayer like that, said with true sincerity and humbleness will get you your answer. And yes, Jesus IS the Messiah. If you're not familiar with it, you might like a website called, ImetMessiah. It's a lot of short videos posted by Jews who have come to know Jesus is the Messiah. Welcome, friend.

Btw, read Isaiah 51,52,53. Sometimes those chapters are skipped over by rabbis.
