Just watched the Scotty Mar video speculating on Trump's nomination as Speaker of the House, and I also read the thread about Trump possibly announcing he's starting a new party. I think there is a chance both could happen, although I think one happens further down the road.
Tomorrow the House puts forth their nominations for Speaker. Matt Gaetz has already said he wouldn't nominate McCarthy and previously talked about Trump being the nominee. Jamie Raskin even brought this up during the Sunday talk shows as a crazy plan some Republicans are hatching. So, it's in the public consciousness on both sides of the aisle, and when Gaetz nominates Trump, it'll be somewhat expected, but there will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
Flash forward to Tuesday night. Trump humbly accepts Gaetz's nomination, then proceeds to tell the American people that he has collected dirt on enough members of the House and Senate (on both sides) to have them either arrested or publically humiliated, and it would be his sincere hope he wins enough support to become Speaker. Not knowing what Trump knows, Congress elects him Speaker in a landslide.
Once Trump is Speaker, he brings articles of impeachment on Biden and Harris. They are summarily impeached by the House and convicted by the Senate (who still don't know what Trump has on them and don't want to risk crossing him). Trump becomes President, and after he is inaugurated he announces the formation of the America First party, inviting Congress members to join if they are willing to put the American people ahead of politics.
Oh, he also releases the info he has. Mass arrests ensue, Trump is re-elected in 2024, and we all live happily ever after.
Okay, so maybe this is a little too neat and tidy, but I always go back to when Trump said, "We caught 'em all," and I wonder if that could also mean he's collected more than just election shenanigans for just such a moment. I mean, everyone and their brother have investigated Trump. Stands to reason he would be doing the same to his enemies.
He needs 60 votes in Senate to impeach Joe and Ho. A stretch as things are now.
It is. It's the wishful thinker in me that hopes Trump has compiled dossiers of his own on all the Congress critters. And not works of fiction like the Steele Dossier.
