Maryland had an abysmal turnout in the primaries. It was less than 20 percent. It was so bad, the Marine who ran for the 6th congressional district (western MD with just enough Montgomery County gerrymanderied in) lost by 2000 votes to a perennial gadfly who doesn't stand a snowballs chance against April Delaney.
That said, this is good news, and I'm hopeful my current county sheriff is ousted by the GOP challenger.
Thank you for the doc. The absence of the Key Bridge has created so many issues, and I'm still angry that it won't be completed for at least another 4 years. And with it being all but certain Moore gets reelected, I'm better that time frame extends further.
The obvious questions aside, how exactly do these things constitute emergency preparedness? It's almost like the government wants the alphabet people NOT to survive an emergency. Why pack water and medicine for actual medical concerns? Grab the chest binders and you'll be fine!
Saw this the other day, followed by a post about a Pets of Pride event in Anne Arundel County (where Annapolis is). It's like they're tripling down on the woke nonsense.
Favorite part has to be "take frequent breaks from chest binding" to avoid overheating. How 'bout not do it at all?
We don't have a lot of Chevron stations in Maryland, but would love it if they'd do that here. I know CA has the crazy emissions on top of everything else. MD just likes to add new random taxes, and of course everyone here is blaming Trump because of Iran. Same folks never questioned it when Biden's goons were shutting down domestic supply.
Just saw a Baltimore Sun article that noted our Attorney General Anthony Brown has filed 62 lawsuits against the Trump administration. Meanwhile, our former RINO governor Larry Hogan said the Republican party will "never return to sanity," like the Dems pushing for open borders and trans surgery for kids is so middle of the road. Now I found out Dan Cox's former running mate is endorsing his opponent Ed Hale for Governor, a businessman who switched parties from Dem to GOP because he couldn't beat Wes Moore in the primaries.
While I am happy that President Trump is (finally) turning his attention to this epic shitshow I call home, he'd be better off annexing Maryland as part of Canada South. After I move, of course.
Sadly, the Sun has moved on to a shiny new object, the lawsuit against the shipping company who owns the Dali. Not that they shouldn't be sued, but I feel like people should be questioning why it's taking so long to get the Key Bridge rebuilt. I'll bet the corruption you referenced plays a big part in the answer.
Watching this happen in real time. Baltimore City is bordered on three sides by Baltimore County to the west, north, and east; and by Anne Arundel County to the south. It spread into the edges of Baltimore County first, now thanks to the Light Rail more affluent suburbs like Towson and Timonium in BC are reaping the benefits. Towson just lost an Apple store because the company couldn't afford the taxes and the crime, and the state is taking legal action to prevent them from leaving.
It is desperate here, but the number of people are waking up to how bad it's gotten. There are a number of black Republican candidates running for state and local office who are fed up with the soft bigotry of low expectations. Even the Baltimore Sun is running a series on the inconsistencies in Wes Moore's military record.
Maryland has had the permanent absentee status and preregistering voters under 18 for a while now. They just passed allowing formerly incarcerated felons to vote this year. And the Republican politicians somehow "believe" we can vote our way out of the other side's supermajority. I'd say Walz was a pasty version of Wes Moore, but Moore was a benefactor of the first two policies from our former Republican governor. 😡
Good article. The dumbing down and indoctrination of students is a feature, not a bug. For every outlandish story amplified by Libs of Tik Tok, there are 30 teachers teaching about "climate change" and critical race theory, while normalizing mental illness on a day-to-day basis. The removal of phonics, the most effective way to teach a child to read, is proof enough the goal all along was to keep children ignorant and compliant.
My son just finished his sophomore year of private school, and even he can see the difference in the education he is receiving after 9 years of a public school system that repeatedly failed him and his older brother. He even thanked me for pulling him out.
