And I’m not being a smart ass here, or trying to prove anything, I’m genuinely curious as to why there hasn’t been even a small protest In our streets. Americans are not unfamiliar with protesting, although certainly not as keen on it as the Europeans.
A friend who lives in Greece asked me this and I came up with several answers, but they seemed a little lame.

Personally think the federal system and constitutional protections have saved us Americans from a lot of pain that others have suffered. Take churches: about half the country, state by state, had no problem at all going to church every week; the other half suffered temporarily, but big court wins protected their right to assemble. The same restriction on another country would have nothing to stop it. Ivermectin, same thing. We have been spared a lot of pain that others have borne.
