agree this was a tone deaf post. Attacking anons who felt a let down after this very board amped up last nights announcement for a week as something bigger than it was.
@Catsfive should know better than this. There is a difference in doomers and those that are frustrated and beat down.
I think we should be going after the enemy right now, not each other.
P.S. in defense of @catsfive I know I hit the deport button several times last night, so there was a ton of true doomer shill activity last night. He is probably getting ptsd from it. :)
The divisive BS is more destructive than anything the left does, to be honest.
As I read the title I went from "that's a good decision" to "wowsa, that's divisively condescending".
I can definitely say that Trump absolutely won't win if his base is too busy eating itself to vote for him 😐.
Anyway, that aside, I don't really get the people who were like "I'm done supporting Trump!" because of the announcement. By all means, be frustrated that there wasn't anything about actually fixing the problem.
But until Trump gets his second term or he decides he's too old for this shit, there's no reason to support anyone else -- or no one.
Biggest problem were the people overhyping this with their shitty, unrealistic "predictions" getting pinned, and lashing out at people who said to temper expectations.
It was never going to be more than a 2024 run. His hype was classic Trump embellishment. Those embellishments are part of his charisma. I'm still surprised some people hadn't learned that before last night.
Last point: This community expends a lot of effort to try and force people to feel a certain way, through negative condescending posts or banning or downvoting and verbally attacking people with socially taboo labels -- which is just like the left -- and this isn't helping to do anything but foster resentment.
Patriots is guilty of it too. If nothing else it has shown that we really are two sides of a coin. Just, like.. we are a gold coin and the left are the opposite side of like, a penny.
Divisive, condescending, hostile... aren't we here to escape being treated like this? To uplift, fortify, and encourage eachother?

Well said.
