The divisive BS is more destructive than anything the left does, to be honest.
As I read the title I went from "that's a good decision" to "wowsa, that's divisively condescending".
I can definitely say that Trump absolutely won't win if his base is too busy eating itself to vote for him 😐.
Anyway, that aside, I don't really get the people who were like "I'm done supporting Trump!" because of the announcement. By all means, be frustrated that there wasn't anything about actually fixing the problem.
But until Trump gets his second term or he decides he's too old for this shit, there's no reason to support anyone else -- or no one.
Biggest problem were the people overhyping this with their shitty, unrealistic "predictions" getting pinned, and lashing out at people who said to temper expectations.
It was never going to be more than a 2024 run. His hype was classic Trump embellishment. Those embellishments are part of his charisma. I'm still surprised some people hadn't learned that before last night.
Last point: This community expends a lot of effort to try and force people to feel a certain way, through negative condescending posts or banning or downvoting and verbally attacking people with socially taboo labels -- which is just like the left -- and this isn't helping to do anything but foster resentment.
Patriots is guilty of it too. If nothing else it has shown that we really are two sides of a coin. Just, like.. we are a gold coin and the left are the opposite side of like, a penny.
great comment. I agree, while I was pissed last night, I never considered abandoning Trump. I will go down with his ship if that's what it takes.
Funny you mention unrealistic expectations of last night. I knew it was just 2024, but it is easy to dream about the storm, once I thought about it as a low % possibility I got caught up in it. I bet many are like me, didn't really believe it would happen but were hoping like a kid on Christmas morning that it would.
Yeah, that's why I referred to the hopium as a jetstream in another post.
The thought and feeling of the storm finally hitting and getting us out of this, or at least offering us a direct way out without all the powerlessness we currently have to go about things is intoxicating.
It makes us feel a false hope even when the source -- Trump -- has a track record of embellishing his words. Trump is a confident showman, and he knows how to get people to tune in.
Some people ran away with it, and with a false hope for something as big as freedom from the present and looming tyranny comes crushing depression when that freedom isn't provided.
I got labeled for "dooming" when I said to temper expectations. I got labeled for dooming when I say I told them so. I get labeled for dooming when I assign accountability to people who share as much of the blame for over hyping as the people who got overhyped.
The label isn't meaningful. It's over used for disagreement with a narrative. It's like "shill".
Big pitfall the left fell into was labeling everything they didn't like to socially outcast the ones they assigned it to. I'm not big on that.
Agreed. The doomer label has a tendency of getting thrown around quite liberally on this board. There's a difference between someone who has a consistent pattern of injecting pure negativity (often contrary to logical thinking) in order to spread misery and nihilism around them and people who are feeling tired, anxious, annoyed, whatever else as a result of the psy-war. People are allowed to have these feelings and just because they do doesn't mean they're bad digital soldeirs, patriots, Christians. We all need to pray to God for discernment to tell who's who and what's what with this sort of thing.
Some people on this board need to learn to have a little grace and tact towards their fellow Americans instead of mocking and berating them. There's a nasty spirit of self-righteousness and sanctimony that sometimes rears its head during times such as these.
It'll be fine anons, we still have a long battle ahead of us and now is the time to be lifting each other up and not putting fellow patriots down when they're feeling at their lowest.
I wasn't pissed last night but I am today when I see more and more attitude here. I come here for hope. Not things like this meem! Its friendly fire and destructive to everyone!

Gods blessings to you.

I wasn’t pissed because I wasn’t expecting much. I’m just glad it wasn’t him opening up the Trump News Network.

I agree with you.
I lost twenty bucks on him not announcing TrumpTV
Okay if he would have done that I'd probably have laughed
Well said.
