My wife and i have not had this. Both had chicken pox very young. Should we get it. I trust opinions around here.

#17 of this document claims the chicken pox vaccine is responsible for the uptick in shingles in older adults.
FROM THE STUDY REFERENCED: The basic assumptions inherent to the varicella cost-benefit analysis ignored the significance of exogenous boosting caused by those shedding wild-type VZV.
Basically says that since kids started getting chicken pox vax, older people are getting shingles more. The kids aren’t shedding chicken pox so the adults immunity is waning. Another case of humans messing around with stuff they only partially understand. CDC solution: ANOTHER VACCINE!
