The higher paid drivers, of course.
They also utilize a third party company to hire new drivers. A friend of the family's son got a job as a driver for FedEx. Now it used to be, you didn't start as a driver and it took years to become one. Suddenly all these kids, with no experience driving anything other than a car, are driving for FedEx. {We know the reason is financial}
Anyway, this kid was hired by a different transit company, but he still drives a FedEx truck.
I haven't looked into it deep enough, but I'd surmise he's getting paid significantly less than a "real" FedEx driver would .
Plus Amazon announced it may fire as many as10,000 workers. Hmmm...

The clearest sign was the two straight quarters of GDP decline. There are all indications that we are heading into a depression. That's a more subjective area.
