Disinformation is necessary at times. If Trump did plan on potentially becoming speaker it doesnt benefit him to state that publicly

True, though it's worth noting that he pointedly told Wayne Allyn Root on his show that the political stunt of becoming Speaker as an end-run around being elected president wouldn't be needed, saying "We're going to be taking a look at it, and we're going to be doing something different."
