That's too bad, because I'm preparing to live in Bangkok lifestyle is good, excellent medical care, low crime, amazing infrastructure. I just returned from Thailand and said to myself I'm the fuck out of the US. One can live on 1,500 usd per month very comfortably

My son taught foreign affairs there for nearly 3 years. He doesn't speak much Thai but he got along fine. I had no trouble either, it's a wonderful culture and the people are so kind.There are many expats that live in Bangkok and Chiang Mai, I met Aussies, New Zealanders, British, Dutch, Swiss & Germans
