I don't trust anyone in congress to do the right thing. They're all bought and controlled. This investigation means absolutely nothing until military intelligence does their thing.

If I had to guess, I'd say they're trying to get him tried and found innocent as quickly as possible so that he can't be re-tried in the future when patriots send traitors to Gitmo.

They'll try to make people sympathetic to Biden as they completely botch the investigation and take it down paths where Biden is certain to be vindicated.
