The wreckage was confirmed by part and serial number to be components of an S-300 air defense system interceptor, operated by Ukraine. It was not Colonel Mustard in the library.
Such a missile is inherently launched on a high-altitude parabolic trajectory. All that is needed is a false air target coordinate. The rest is gravity. If you want to create an international incident, you only have to be sure the missile comes to ground beyond the border. Hitting a tractor is frosting. (Some air defense missiles have ground attack capability built in. The South Koreans were using older U.S. Nike Hercules missiles for ground attack.)
This argument is being purveyed on a pro-Ukrainian series of videos. Avoid this B.S. like the plague.
Never heard of any SAM systems where you have to plug in the Lat and Longs of the incoming first, kek. That might take some time.
These people are so stupid I can't even

SAMs usually have a self-destruct function in order to avoid this from happening.
Call Of Duty killstreak logic doesn't apply to real war unfortunately
Well fuck! That explains everything. Fast typing fat - fingering!
