Knights of Sidonia was fantastic, if you can get passed the slower frame rate CGI. It's a mecha anime. Aldnoah.Zero was another great one, and has a fantastic soundtrack made by Sawano Hiroyuki.

Ive been interested in knights of sidonia.

I thought aldnoah zeros character development to be lacking unfortunately.

Have you seen the old school sci fi one - Legend of the Galactic Heroes?

Never seen Legend of the Galactic Heroes. I tried watching one of the newer seasons, but found some of the physics to be quite bad. How does a fleet of hundreds of ships appear behind your own fleet? As an avid fan of sci-fi, I just thought it poorly thought out.
