Just putting 2 and 2 together.

One of the six RINOs who received funding from FTX was Bill Cassidy, who voted to impeach Trump.

So ...

Bill Cassidy, RINO senator who received funding from FTX for impeaching Trump, signed the letter to go after Joe Biden and Hunter Biden.

Why? I'll post one of my theories below but for the most part the investigation into Biden probably isn't as good as originally thought.

This was my exact first thought. OP seems to be confusing a post-midterm press conference from House Republicans yesterday with a letter from SENATE republicans last September; and beyond that, we’re picking out 1 senator out of 30. We won’t have the senate so they won’t really be investigating anything anyway. The House was clearly the Target this time around.
