I heard MTG was worried that the rinos and dems were going to put Cheney in the speaker position and that's why she backed McCarthy. Trump is so many chess moves ahead of me, I can't fathom a guess.

You don’t have to be a member of congress to be speaker. That’s why there was some suggestions to have Trump voted in as speaker.
