He setup a poll tweet to flush out the bots. New bots can't come in but, the ones remaining are hard to flush out. So he setup this little poll to do just that. Pure genius.

The way it was explained to me was that when bots are setup its from usually one IP address in batches of a 100 to 1000 and when the controller of these bots vote in a poll, all of them vote at the same time using the same ip address.
I hope they don't all show up in the lunchroom at the same time!

Then after 100 -1000 they switch to the next proxy ip address
Proxy IPs are easily detected.
For sure especially when there is lists of them on the internet, well I remember back in the yahoo days 20 years back when cracking good usernames that was the case. not sure why someone down voted but ok.
