Start establishing a relationship with a local farmer. Buy fruits, vegetables, beef, pork, poultry, dairy form them. They, “as your friend or as a courtesy to you” can do the manual work and you pay them for their time as your friend. I am amazed how much more tender, tasty, and less fat in grass fed, grass finished beef. It cooks quicker and has less waste. You pay more, but it is better.
