I just had a laptop from hell thought. When was the hot mike of Hunter saying he took a plea deal?

Before or after the laptop came out. Was he forced to "break" it and "forget" it at the repair shop?

I have thought this as well - and made the same deduction. How do you introduce evidence…but turned on its head.
