I just had a laptop from hell thought. When was the hot mike of Hunter saying he took a plea deal?

Before or after the laptop came out. Was he forced to "break" it and "forget" it at the repair shop?

That it was Hunter speaking on that recording

Correct. It was likely just a staffer with a Mic that was accidentally on for a few seconds. Happens all the time at an amateur sound mixing level. Not impossible this just slipped through on the broadcast.
