The first few seasons are great, Raymond's little monologues about fine food or whatever are just fantastic. Really a great show.
Until you get to the Trump era. The writers change. Raymond, arms dealer, killer, drug runner, terrorist Raymond changes. Gone are the amusing tales of eating fine cheese at the table of terrorist masterminds and suddenly he is making crypto-leftist allusions to mistreating illegal immigrants. The second main character turns into a total pain in the ass. I had to stop watching it, it became painful. First 3 seasons are some of the best TV though, so enjoy.
Oh dear, I can just imagine. I'm only on S1 ep 9 and it's good (no propaganda) but I know what you mean about the virtue signaling and typical lefty writing n preachy. I'll probably stop watching as soon as the writing changes.
