That’s a lie, you’re correct. Some kids are blatantly cognitively impaired and behaviorally non-typical to the point they punch holes in walls, attack others, and possess very few intellectual abilities. I worked with this population of children for many years. They did not exist in these numbers (and the companies who treat them did not exist) when I was growing up in the 90s, no amount of improvements in screening can account for that.
The medical community claims because they actually screen for it now and can diagnose it easier... But we all know the medical community lies.
