Humanity should trademark "Baffled". We all agree we own it. Every time they use the word. Humanity wins a little more.

Baffle- to stifle noise. I don't think they can speak. Perhaps contractually, but certainly because they would end up outside of the profession looking in. The threat of ostracization is often enough for herd thinkers.
