He seems to miss the point of gaming and VR in general...to be able to momentarily escape to another world where you can do things that arent possible and/or would have devastating consequences in real life without actually risking your life and then return to real life to enjoy the feeling of having done those crazy things. Making your death in real life tied to your VR experience no longer allows for risk free escapism but merely just reverts your risk to being the same if you had done those things in real life. At that point you might as well take the risk in real life.
