Certain hashtags were used to buy, sell & trade child sexual assault material. People who knew what hashtag to look for would find kiddie porn and then could privately message one another to make transactions.

Twitter has known because of user reports that the kiddie porn was on the site for the past decade but has refused to remove the porn and the users. Government authorities have also refused to take any action against the users or Twitter.
