What is this thread all about?
Just a place for general discussion. A place to unload whats on your mind and talk about anything - personal, health, help needed, achievements, daily highs and daily lows, theories, predictions and what have you.
Does not need to be Q related.
Had to take our little Chihuahua Gypsy to the vet this morning to have a kidney stone removed. I'll tell you what, with all that's going on in the world, it is no surprise that it pales in comparison to when something close to you experiences discomfort or pain. Everything turned out okay, but for about three hours I didn't give a flip about anything but that. That's the deal with dogs - they creep into your heart the first time you smell puppy breath and leave a giant hole when they have to move on. They're never on the earth long enough. Never.
How's she doing now?
Thanks for asking. She's sore, and sleeping, but we gave her a pain pill and she should rebound by morning to return being the spoiled little princess she is. Her bedmate, Sugar, is a couple of years older, but she's going deaf and as a result, she actually sleeps better because she can't hear every little noise. One of the ways to relax is when we get home and listen to podcasts and such, we watch them sleep. They're at peace, without a care in the world. In light of all that has happened, that's a bright spot :)
Aww I'm glad to hear she's going to be okay. I have a goofy lab mix dog. She's extremely funny and entertaining and sweet. And yes, it's quite relaxing to sit with her while she's asleep. What podcasts do you like? We are pretty regular with X22, and hubby follows stonks pretty closely.
X22 is one of them, but David Nino is funny, And We Know is pretty good, and recently we stumbled upon SGAnon - that guy is wicked smart, and he's saying some pretty interesting things about what is coming. Beach Girl is okay, sometimes she gets a little flaky. I actually did a video call with Scott MacKay [Patriot Street Fighter] and it was cool. He can get fired up pretty quick. American Media Periscope is pretty good too. Occasionally we'll get Juan, Charlie and Simon, but those we take with a grain of salt. MonkeyWerx has some good info though. Gee, aren't you glad you asked? π
Had a Shepherd/Lab mix when I was in high school years ago. Best damned dog I ever had. He's up there waiting.
I agree! Love all creatures great and small! ππππ¬ I believe God gave them to us to be our Angels in Fur...to be our companions and give us comfort and joy.
BWAHAAAAA...I love your passive/agressive smite at the grammar Nazi! πΉ
Now, as an only child who Never realized that fact because my Dad gave my Mom a Siamese cat when she was pregnant with me. (I can smite the grammar Nazi's, too with my run on sentences!) I simply thought my cat was a very protective sister.
We are Siamese if you'd please! πΆ
We are Siamese if you don't please! πΌπΆ
Best line I ever heard: "When God made all the animals, he didn't need to make a Dog because he already had one." My wife, who is Cherokee, believes that every animal has an origin, but as far as the dog, it goes like this:
When the Creator decided to bring the earth into existence, He spread out a great tapestry and placed all living things upon it. As if to establish the hierarchy of living beings, He took His finger and drew a line down the middle of the canvas. A crack began to form, and all humans moved to one side of the crack and all animals moved to the other side. The crack grew wider and wider, on its way to become a chasm. At the moment right before the chasm became too wide to cross, Dog jumped over and stood by Man.
Hard to disagree with that :)
Aaawww... I love this beautiful legend! My maternal grandmother was a Cherokee from East Texas...unfortunately she died when my Mom was 17 years old but I know I'll see her in Heaven someday. We'll be reunited with our babies, too! Thank you for sharing this wonderful story! Glad your baby is all well and out of danger! ππ
Thanks. Gypsy thanks you too, but that's only good if she gets a snack π
