He is partially correct because it forced us to care for ourselves.
It's the Booker T Washington Model Vs W.E.B Du Bois model.
The problem with black folks isn't integration. The problem is that we are always told to "chase" white people.
To always compare ourselves to what white people are doing.
The downfall of any society is activism in my view.
There is nothing wrong with MLK-style peaceful protest to bring awareness to an issue.
There is a major problem with activism. Activism has caused blacks to get caught us with "Us Vs Them".
When I talk to other black folks about this.
I always ask them. "Why do you compare yourself to white people"? They can never really answer the question.
I think that a lot of whites don't understand. On a subconscious level, tons of blacks see you as a kind of God. They need your respect.
