It usually means "I'm autistic and someone groomed me into believing in nonsense". Seriously I have never met a really true they/them that ISNT autistic. We have a they/them cousin on my wife's side of the family and she is just a confused autistic kid. I feel so bad for her because she was turned into this thing by either internet garbage or a psychopath teacher
