I think it’s happening by design, and this based on the comment he makes about setting a “precedent”. How many times have they intimated that they’ve had some kind of proof of horrible, terrible, obscene corruption on him, and it’s always debunked. My SIL (don’t know who he listens to because he doesn’t have TV) was rattling off all kinds of stuff Trump supposedly has done that he believes they should investigate him for - instead of Biden - and none of it was anything I’ve ever even heard of! So there’s constantly rumors floating around about what a terrible man he is and, unfortunately, people buy into it - especially young people. There’s gotta be some pretty huge proofs coming out about the REAL corruption on the other side for him to be able to stand before the American people and really be accepted as a legit candidate in 2024. I’m not saying he’s not. I’m just saying roughly half the Country is still buying the BS narrative and therefore, every time he’s accused and comes away clean AGAIN, it’s a good day.
