Was just reading another thread about Elon saying, "The more I learn, the worse it gets." Everyone is hoping he will reveal all.
My question is, does he really know or have access, to everything? Couldn't all those who left (and there were many) have taken or deleted or destroyed a lot of the evidence of what was going on there?
Btw, I started this thread because the other already had so many replies and I thought nobody would see my question. I know many people here aren't technologically proficient, so it would be reassuring to hear that he can get his hands on the info. Thanks.
If it's online in any type of electronic communication, there can be a copy of it, no matter if someone tried to "erase" it. Your electronic footprint is forever.
Okay, cool. Thanks. I just figured that the engineers would have the know how to delete or destroy it one way or another.
Like I said, the Internet is forever, just as a digital footprint is forever. No "scrub" is 100% effective. I knew an IT guy who said he unplugged his desktop computer at home from the wall jack whenever it was not in use. Guy knows his shit. The only 100% sure way to destroy digital evidence is to physically destroy it. That's why you've likely read about people taking hammers to their phones, or using drills on their hard drives. Even then, you're only destroying your side of things. There's always another receiver of information that captures what you've done. Always.
Oh, that's an interesting point. The other end of it. Even though hildawg bleachbit her stuff, there's the other end. That's why I wondered if there could have been some type of situation like what was discovered about obama and crew using the 'draft' folder in email so that nothing was every actually sent. They'd each just sign in to the account, write messages to each other and save them in draft. No email actually sent. It seems that all those brilliant twitter engineers could have figured out a similar system.
