Correct. We need to set the example and remember to respect people's right to choose not to believe.

One of my biggest issues with Christianity is that a majority of them have zero respect for the choices of others despite the fact that Christ said very clearly, "treat others the way you want to be treated" and to "love your enemies".

If we want people to listen we have to ask ourselves how open minded we are to listen to them. And if you cower behind self righteous indignation as an excuse to be an ass, you justify your shitty behavior because you think you scored the correct religion, you're gonna get exactly what you deserve.

Personally, I'm focused on getting people to be Christlike in their lives, treating others the way they want to be treated, loving their enemies and so forth. Acknowledgement is between them and Jesus individually. What I have found most fascinating is most non believers have no issues with Jesus and His ideas. Their biggest issue are the self proclaimed followers who acknowledge Jesus with their lips and deny Him by their lifestyle and attitude.
