Contra Costa is pretty interesting. The based ones are in San Ramon Valley (Danville) and "Lamorinda" (Lafayette, Moraga, Orinda) parts of Central County. The super woke ones are in West County (El Cerrito, Richmond), and in between are North Central (Walnut Creek area) and East Counties (Brentwood Area).
Granted, I don’t have the exact voting patterns in front of me (nor do I trust any of that until elections are no longer just exercises in fraud), but as a hella long-time East Bay resident, here’s my rough take.
Lamorinda is pretty much East Marin - honkies voting the way their tee-vee tells them too, and any conservatives too cowed to make a peep.
And Richmond isn’t exactly “super-woke”… it’s basically just a crime-ridden hellhole.
El Cerrito is just essentially just an extension of Berzerkeley on the Contra Costa side. Albany, too. And how is Kensington even a separate thing?
The San Pablo -> Martinez swath… I figure it’s gotta be all immigrants by now.
Antioch sadly became Gangtioch with the blexodus from the “Sucka Free” (egregiously misnicknamed, because SF is almost 100% suckas). My condolences to anyone stuck in Gangtioch.
Now that I think about it, I don’t know if I’ve ever actually been to Brentwood, or Clayton. 🤷♂️
Concord, Walnut Creek, Pleasant Hill, San Ramon, Danville… even just those comparatively-sane areas would probably vote for a Marxists over a MAGA, although I hope I’m wrong on that count.
We can obviously go all day with this, lol. So I'll just say I'm quite happy to have a Bay Area fren in this board.
