Runbeck use colour printers to print ballots and AFAIK those printers print their serial numbers and other data invisibly on the ballots. All colour printers are supposed to do this.
Now I don't quite know why this forensic avenue hasn't been looked at yet, but maybe the white hats have been saving if for now .
If a bunch of ballots were printed after the election to fiddle it, those ballots can be identified by printing timestamp.

Even without white hats being embedded in Runbeck, we still have the sting proof available. I bet it's hard to fiddle with the timestamp on the industrial printers, and even harder to do it without leaving clues.
