The corruption sets in quickly on any of these organizations. From the pastors with private jets to cities of gold. Well, even the ancient priests were disgustingly rich, and they took the vestal virgins besides. Just finished reading one of the kids' homeschool books and caught a quick reference to 'you'll always know which is the pastor's house' because it's the richest one in town. Power doesn't corrupt, it attracts the corrupt.
