We'll get AI in one way or another. I really don't want to start a for/against flat earth argument here, but we'll need AI to help us navigate space. A much better version of our land-based GPS, continuously creating and updating routes with new information. AI to help regulate propulsion, and all that. Neutral purposes like that, not necessarily Skynet.
