So the picture in Qs post is a cropped image. What's the chance it was the lid edge cropped out?

No, the white balance is off between them, suggesting different sources. However, white balance is a simple slide of a slider in Lightroom so it's not a tough task, but if it were identical someone would want them to appear to be as well. Just my thoughts.
