Grasping at straws... If we have 70,000 SOF (wildly guessing at that number) and only 5,000 are deployed overseas, then that would mean we have 65,000 deployed at home?

Troops at home are garrisoned, so they wouldn't be doing any active operations. If they are, it would likely be humanitarian type stuff and they would fall under Posse Comitatus(sp?)
National Guard, however, can operate within the States if they have the right authorizations
