I'd buy a Tesla phone as long as it came with physical hardware switches to turn off mic, camera, Wifi, baseband, GPS.

Much like McAfees privacy phone that never came out

I really hope Linux phones become more usable as a daily driver.

There's already one that has the switches: https://puri.sm/products/librem-5/

But Linux on mobile seems pretty subpar so far.

People need to open those up to see if the physical switches actually shut off parts of the phone.
